Celebrating the 25 anniversary of the Bluegrass 90s series - some of the greatest instrumental recordings of all time. Pinecastle Records Bluegrass 95-2001 were some of the most influential instrumental recordings of their time. The series started off with a bang by winning the International Bluegrass Music Associations instrumental recording of the year in 1996. Many musicians over the years used the yearly series as a learning tool to learn from some of the best pickers of all time. Bluegrass 2020 brings back producer Scott Vestal to lead a new group of pickers including Patrick McAvinue, Cody Kilby, Dominick Leslie, and Curtis Vestal. In total, Bluegrass 2020 has 10 new recordings. In an effort to stay true to the theme of the original series, the project features the most current styles and inspirations which go into modern Bluegrass, while also staying true to the signature sound dating back to the 90s. In addition to all-new material, also featured on the record are fresh takes on tracks made famous by Bluegrass legends Bill Monroe and Earl Scruggs. On the newer side, multiple songs were penned by Bluegrass 2020 members Scott Vestal and Patrick McAvinue, plus a very special recording written by Moon Mullican.
