Drive-By Truckers (DBT) have been making music together for over a decade, resulting in seven critically acclaimed studio albums. However, not all of the songs written by the band could be included in these releases. DBT recently explored the New West Records archives and refined a selection of songs that were not fully completed. The outcome is The Fine Print (A Collection Of Oddities and Rarities 2003-2008), a 12-track album of previously unreleased and rare tracks. The Fine Print includes compositions by band members past and present, such as Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, and Jason Isbell. Seven of the twelve tracks are from The Dirty South era, a period of significant creativity for DBT. The album also features four interpretations, including "Rebels" by Tom Petty, recorded originally for the TV show King Of The Hill, and "Like A Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan, which provided Shonna Tucker with her first lead vocal on a DBT recording.
