About the Author:
Jessica Ralli is the Coordinator of Early Literacy Programs at Brooklyn Public Library, where she develops and manages programming for the library's First Five Years initiative. She holds an MA in Early Childhood Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and has experience teaching in various educational settings. She has contributed to School Library Journal and presented on play-based learning at several conferences.
Megan Pamela Ruth Madison is an early childhood educator and a student of radical Black feminism. She has an MS in early childhood education from Dominican University and a BA in studies in religion from the University of Michigan. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD at Brandeis University's Heller School for Social Policy and works as a trainer for organizations focused on racial justice in education.
